With all the paranoia going around about ‘extremist’ Conservatives these days I want to make absolutely clear that I do NOT support VIOLENCE to enact political change of any kind here in the United States!!
What I do vigorously support is using the Power of the Ballot Box and Democratic process to effect meaningful change here in the United States.

To quote Popeye “I’ve had all I can stand, I can’t stand no more”. After watching Congress, with the help of 8 GOP turncoats, pass the biggest, most oppressive, most crushing tax hike in US history I have had enough. It’s time for a serious recall effort to get underway to get Barack Obama out of the White House before he completely destroys our economy and country.
I have posted an online petition to force a recall election for President Barack Obama HERE ( http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/Recall_Obama_2009/). If Ipetitions turns out to be Obama stooges and kills the petition I’ll move it to another server and site.

I haven’t ruled out a separate recall petition for our corrupt West Virginia Governor Joe ‘Boss Hogg’ Manchin. I want to do some more investigating and digging on ‘Boss Hogg’ Manchin before I start such an undertaking.
Once I can paint a more accurate and detailed picture of the kind of politician Boss Hogg Manchin really is then I suspect folks may think twice at the voting booth before pulling that lever.
That’s assuming the electronic voting machines here in West Virginia are even honest to begin with. Needless to say I suspect the party bosses in West Virginia preprogrammed the voting machines here to produce the election results they wanted. I’m a life long computer geek and I’m the LAST one on this planet to trust an easily hackable electronic voting machine!

I’m not the only one predicting economic disaster with this energy tax either. Bloomberg News and Wall Street Journal are also reporting just how punishing this energy tax is going to be. Bloomberg is indicating that many oil refiners and industries will shut down here in the US and import everything rather then deal with the Government mandated ‘Cap and Trade’ scam. Because of the punishing, oppressive effects of this ‘Cap and Trade’ scam, being forced on us by Socialist Democrats, it just won’t make any business sense to manufacture products or refine oil in the US anymore so we’ll end up importing all of our products and refined petroleum products thus sending consumer costs in to the stratosphere! This Cap and Trade scam will kill our Global competitiveness. We could conceivably lose millions more jobs and drag our economy even further down.
Be prepared to work, if you’re lucky enough to even have a job, just to pay the Government! Since Al Gore, Nancy Pelosi and other Democrats are all heavily invested in this green energy scam they all stand to profit handsomely at the taxpayers expense. Al Gore’s investment in Kleiner-Perkins alone should make him a Billionaire on Government mandated Cap and Trade! I’m sure the founding fathers would want Congress passing laws with the sole REAL intent and purpose of making political hacks and cronies like Al Gore, Nancy Pelosi and Joe Manchin filthy rich and all powerful at the expense of taxpayers….NOT!!
I wonder if the Coal miner’s unions here in West Virginia will still be in love with our corrupt Socialist Democrat Governor Joe ‘Boss Hogg’ Manchin once they are all out of work because of Cap and Trade. Remember Boss Hogg Manchin is drunk on the Global Warming Koolaid so he’s going to sacrifice our Coal miners, coal industry and economy in the name of Democrat Party ideology! Just think when this Cap and Trade energy scam really takes hold gas will be $10 a gallon and utility bills that will at least double! Between the Cap and Trade scam and Socialized Medicine the Democrats are forcing upon the citizenry, the people of the US are going to end up in a state of indentured servitude to Democrats and an oppressive, tyrannical Federal Government. But then Democrats are running the Alinsky playbook step by step so they can impose their view of one party, Socialist rule. If folks are so poor because of oppressive Government taxes and mandates they then end up a ‘Dependant Class’ relying on Democrat State Welfare programs which is just what Democrats want.
Sad to say it but the American SHEEP, and i do mean SHEEP, won’t stop Democrats from running Alinsky’s playbook until its too late to do anything about it. I’m sure Socialists Saul Alinsky, Karl Marx and Josef Goebbels are smiling in their graves at the ‘progress’ Democrats are making in tearing down Free Market Capitalism and Democracy here in the US.
In a few years many people are going to end up living in their cars or ‘cardboard condos’, starving but safe and comfortable in the knowledge that the politicians are enjoying the wealth they plundered from you!!
Senator Manchin…Bet on it!!
While perusing the Local Liberal Rag I came across an interesting article. Seems Boss Hogg Manchin isn’t happy about the speculation over Robert Byrd’s Senate seat vacancy in the near future.
After reading that article I got inspired and fired up The GIMP again!! Here’s my latest creation, a Grumpy Republican Original:
While the State run Liberal media may be buying into Boss Hogg Manchin’s clever, but I believe faux, indignation over the speculation on Manchin’s political ambitions, I’m not buying in to it. If you read between the lines in that article nowhere does Boss Hogg Manchin DENY he’s interested in Byrd’s Senate Seat. He doesn’t DENY he’s going to make a power grab for Byrd’s Senate seat either.

Actually there was nothing to discuss. I suspect Boss Hogg Manchin has already decided Byrd’s seat is his for the taking. Like most career political hacks I suspect he may even feel he’s ‘entitled’ to Byrd’s seat as well.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again that I do believe Boss Hogg Manchin is eagerly waiting for Byrd to drop dead so he can make a play for Byrds Senate seat. I suspect Boss Hogg Manchin has wanted a Senate seat for a long time and Byrd dropping dead is the political opportunity of a lifetime for him. When Byrd finally does die I’m willing to bet there will be champagne corks popping at the Governors Mansion in Charleston, albeit privately away from any media attention.

If you look at history, every business or industry the Union thugs get their grubby paws in to has ultimately FAILED. Now these Union Thugs are hijacking our elections directly or thru front groups like ACORN. Having the Unions hijacking the elections and ultimately the Government is a scary proposition. Consider the damage the various Teachers Unions are doing and then think about having even more Government jobs being stuffed with lazy do nothing Union thugs getting fat on the taxpayer’s dime!!
For years these Union Thugs at the Teachers Unions have used the nations school children as pawns to enrich themselves at the Taxpayers expense. Seems not many people are making the connection between rising Union Teacher compensation and falling student test scores and performance.
Seems the more the Teachers Unions engorge themselves on the taxpayer’s wallet the worse the education our kids seem to be getting. This seems true of ALL Government labor unions as well. The Unions get fat and the taxpayer gets a ‘crap sandwich’.

Broadband Bullshit!!
While perusing the local Liberal scandal sheet I came across an interesting article where Governor Joe ‘Boss Hogg’ Manchin finally woke up to the fact and realized that broadband access for all West Virginia residents isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity of modern life and economics.
“If we don’t have an accelerated expansion of Internet in this country, and every nook and cranny of West Virginia, we’re going to be in trouble,” Governor Manchin said as he addressed a room full of people who assembled in Washington for the Internet Innovation Alliance’s National Broadband Strategy Symposium.” …Courtesy of our Liberal scandal sheet in Martinsburg, The Journal-News.
What both Governor Boss Hogg Manchin and the Journal-News both failed, and failed miserably, to mention is the fact that monopolistic abuses in the broadband marketplace by greedy, monopolistic thugs like Comcast are hurting broadband penetration and the marketplace here in West Virginia.
Having affordable broadband access in a working, competitive free market is good for the consumer. Competition in the broadband marketplace will spur innovation, speed and reduce overall costs to the consumer.
As long as greedy, monopolistic thugs like Comcast are allowed to monopolize the broadband market and fleece broadband consumers for all they can possibly get then getting broad broadband penetration throughout the state is nothing more then meaningless flowery oratory from a slick career politician.
Another critical question the local Liberal scandal sheet, The Journal-News, neglects to raise is the bribes, called ‘Campaign Contributions’ (legal or otherwise) these days, Governor Boss Hogg Manchin and other state and local politicians may have received from monopolist thugs like Comcast.
With millions, if not BILLIONS, to be made in broadband profits here in West Virginia do you honestly think greedy monopolies like Comcast are going to allow competition in the marketplace and jeopardize all that easy money they are making from us ripe pigeons(Broadband Consumers) do you?? As long as monopolies like Comcast hold the broadband market hostage they will extort the maximum rates and margins possible. Such is the typical behavior of any monopolist, like Comcast.
Until and unless Boss Hogg Manchin and the other State\Local politicians take a stand against and end the broadband monopoly, the abuses consumers are facing at the hands of monopolistic thugs like Comcast will continue unabated.
In the end if Boss Hogg Manchin and the rest of the state\local politicians do nothing about the broadband monopoly and abuses then they are as guilty as monopolistic thugs Comcast in violating Anti Trust laws as well as the Public Faith and Trust. After all, if you watch and do nothing as a thief steals someone’s money then by your own inaction are you not complicit in the criminal act??
Having affordable broadband access to all West Virginia citizens is a noble idea. Unfortunately as long as Boss Hogg Manchin and the rest of the politicians are the pockets of monopolistic thugs like Comcast don’t expect that to ever happen.
What you can expect are higher rates, lower limit caps and lower speeds (compared to many parts of the world) as long as monopolies like Comcast are allowed to hold the broadband market hostage for extortion.
Do yourself one hell of a favor and DON’T have a Comcastic day!!
Sheriff LeMaster-Goering??
I have neither met nor spoken with our Democrat Sheriff Kenny LeMaster yet, but, I would like very much to do a recorded interview with him before too long. I want to get his answers and ‘take’ on questions and concerns about the operations and procedures at the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office I raised last fall with his predecessor here on the Grumpy Republican. The questions I raised back then remain unanswered to this day.
My impressions of the man are based solely on published news reports, interviews I’ve done with people that know LeMaster personally and published pix. Until I can look him square in the eye personally and ask some tough questions to judge what kind of man he really is I can only guess his real persona.
I look at his face and eyes and see a bitter, dark man. When I look at LeMaster I’m reminded of another bitter, dark figure from history.
The resemblance is eerie in too many ways. Kinda makes me wonder if instead of another Roscoe P Coltrane, as I originally joked about, we have someone possibly more dark and sinister….
Lord help us if I my impressions of Sheriff LeMaster-Goering are on the money….This is one time I hope I’m actually dead WRONG on something…
