A few ramblings..
While surfin the web over the weekend I found a few tidbits to pass along….Michelle Malkin at HotAir posted an interesting Video that’s both funny and thought provoking. Scary part is that, if your religious, the video makes a scary but funny point.

Last weekend my SO picked up Glenn Beck’s new book ‘Common Sense’. I haven’t read all of it yet myself but a cursory look thru tells me Beck’s book is a HUGE ripoff.
First off you’ll pay over $8 (at Walmart) for a book that’s less then 200 pages with pages 115-174 just being Thomas Paine being re printed. If I wanted to read Thomas Paine I would have gone to the library and saved the $8+.
Secondly, when you look at the byline it’s listed as Glenn Beck WITH Joseph Kerry. So the question is how many of the first measly 114 pages are actually written by Glenn Beck and how many are actually written by Joe Kerry?? Are they Glenn Beck’s OWN words and thoughts or are they Joe Kerry’s? I suspect very little is Beck’s own original material.
In the end Beck’s ‘Common Sense’ends up nothing more then $8+ worth of Joseph Kerry’s bloviating rather then Glen’s snarky commentary. If you want to pay $8+ for what amounts to an Op Ed piece by Joe Kerry then buy it, if your looking for Glenn Beck then avoid this ripoff. Sad because I am a big fan of Glenn Beck and Fox News. I can only assume with Glenn Beck’s rising fame at Fox News he’s getting greedy and looking to simply line his pockets by publishing this piece of crap he actually wrote little, if any, of.
Am I the only one who’s noticed that virtually all the female on air personalities at Fox News seem anorexic, use enough make up to make a hooker blush and are Bleached Blondes? Makes me wonder if the women on the air at Fox News are hired more as ‘electronic Viagra’ for the male audience rather then for their journalistic abilities. Someone ought to tell the make up artists at Fox News that a shotgun wasn’t intended as a make up applicator!!
Everytime I look at Megyn Kelly at Fox News I simply can’t help but be reminded of Karen Carpenter because Megyn is so damned thin and SCRAWNY. I’m willing to bet if you put a nude pic of Meg Kelly next to a WW II Concentration Camp survivor that the concentration camp survivor would look healthier. I seriously have to wonder if Megyn Kelly is going to be another Karen Carpenter.
Is having the anorexic, bleached blonde hooker look that Fox’s on air women all have a healthy, positive role model for young aspiring women?? I think not.
I’m surprised Women’s groups like N.O.W. haven’t raised this point but then those groups only care about LIBERAL Democrat women and most likely would celebrate a Conservative woman at Fox dropping dead from anorexia.
I have to wonder if Fox News isn’t both racist and sexist in too many ways. You’ll see plenty of WHITE conservatives all over Fox News but very few Conservative minorities on air.
While I remain a fan of Fox News I’m certainly not thrilled with a lot of what I see there.
